All You Can Eat
An animation by Ember Yang. All You Can Eat is about two cheery orphans girls, Devora and Fika. Their friendship soon becomes strained when the extravagant Madame Welina arrives. With a valuable bracelet in hand, Devora must choose what matters most to her: food or her friend?

Choral Conducting
Two pieces I taught and conducted for Drury University's Fall and Spring choral concerts:
Let my Prayer Arise - Dmitry Bortniansky
Wenn so lind dein äuge mir - Johannes Brahms
It was great to work with Drury's large and talented choir, all of whom were patient and understanding with me throughout the entire rehearsal process.
Choral Conducting

"Beneath the Cathedral" takes the listener on a musical journey through the underground. What they may see is up to their interpretation, whether that be catacombs, mineshafts, or even an underground lake. This piece was formulated during the rather intense year of 2020. its is an accumulation of musical vignettes that I could work on individually.
Beneath the Cathedral

Trialogue
One of my favorite pieces that I've done. "Trialogue" is a musical argument between two instruments, the clarinet and flute, while the piano serves as a mediator. The piece is packed with call-and-response moments, flippant interruptions, as well as frequent modulations to encapsulate a tense and exciting musical mood.

Bird Attack
"Bird Attack" was my first piece that I made when I started taking composition lessons. The concept was pretty straight-forward: "What if I made a piece about a couple of birds attacking someone?" "Bird Attack" features loads of syncopation, the sounds of pecking, and an ebb and flow pacing that is reminiscent of swooping avian attackers.

Broken Master
One of my good friends, Ashley Gilland, and I had a chance to collaborate on a soundtrack of a student-led game project. This was my first time collaborating with anyone, and also my first time working with a DAW outside of Musescore. Ashley was gracious enough to show me the basics. Our respective styles melded together into something that neither of us could have done on our own. My favorite track is "Mantra"...
Care for a Chiptune?
Often when I compose, I will sketch out what I want a piece to sound like using only chiptune instruments. These little guys sometimes grow to become a fully-developed piece, and some stay just the way they are. Click on the phonograph to listen to a random chiptune that I've composed! (Sometimes doesn't work for iPhone)
